About the Institute

The inception of the Bell institute of hotel management & catering technology (BIHMCT) began with the expansion of the Bell group into the hospitality industry in 1993. The goal was to provide a dining experience that had never been seen before in the city of Sivakasi. This chain of hotels then expanded to Madurai, Chennai,Tuticorin and Courtallam. Over the years the founding fathers gathered a lot of experience and knowledge about the catering industry which they believed could be passed on to future generations of industry professionals. This thought was turned into a reality under the Darling Chelladurai educational and charitable trust in the year 2006 with a sprawling 10 acre facility, in the form of BIHMCT. The Bell institute of hotel management and catering technology is a combination of the right amount of Tradition, best equipments; with a good experienced set of faculty, technique of course, the right medium and atmosphere to bring all these elements together. We at the BIHMCT believe that the secret to the perfect recipe and the development of individuals of outstanding caliber in the catering industry have a lot in common.
